Viseu, Portugal is a Historical, small and wonderful town. Well located: 2:30 hrs drive from Salamanca, Spain, 1 hour from Aveiro,Costa Nova, and 2:30 hrs from Porto. Viseu has many interesting pedestrian streets where , among other things, tipical portuguese items are sold.

Regarding good sea food dishes we recomend Restaurant Refúgio,(Av. Alberto Sampaio) 200 meters from the town hall square). It has recently been renovated, a small and local restaurant with low prices but excellent fish dishes. I have tried it few times the last two years. The owner sis also the waiter who keeps up good standards and surely gives value for money.

Following pictures of Portugal: Aveiro,Costa nova, Wonderful location. On one side the river estuary and on the other side the Atlantic Ocean beaches. Main street with many tipical houses and many Restaurants of all kinds and prices. We chose Dori restaurant, over looking the main street and river, and most important the restaurant is just above a fish market building so the sea food was Real fresh and excellent cooked, at reasonable prices (confirmed by a good traditional Tai food chef woman who was in the trip).
