Our Visiting afternoon  to Avila was a bit chilly with unpleasant weather for the time of September. That was so perhaps  by the effects of being the highest town in Spain above Sea level. We went in and by different Historical Monuments & construction ruins which are clear signs of the different human civilisations which settled down in the town, such as ” Vetones, Visigodos…”, Musulmanes…”and finally conquered by Christians. Most Outstanding are the Romanesque Medieval Walls which circle the whole old part of the town, being part of them  the cathedral´s “Cimborrio ” itself. Outside the City walls are other  old Outstanding Historical Spots: ” San Vicente-Basilica and Los 4 Postes.” From this last place we all could admire the old town as a whole. Our next resting stop was in a local Bar-Restaurant outside and infront of ” Arco de San Vicente” where my Clients: Mr Gais`family and friends had a wonderful time eating “Jamon Iberico and queso Manchego” apart from drinking good wine from “Ribera del Duero.” Then we went on foot  visiting ” El Mercado Chico and Mercado Grande” as well as “Convento de Sta., Teresa.” The day was finished and everebody was happy and so was for the Driver-guide.
